As I'm hitting my almost 2 year mark of launching Sperry Wellness, I've compiled a list of frequently asked questions that I thought would be helpful as a reference point for future clients....
Q: What are the benefits of using a coach? A: You can think of me as a cross between an executive coach and health coach - helping executive and professional women successfully navigate a healthier and more fulfilling personal and professional life.
As more and more women successfully climb the corporate ladder, women in their 40's who are in the peak of their careers are also finding themselves getting slammed with having more responsibility at work + trying to navigate family life/raising kids, and it's nearly DROWNING them. How do we solve for this? In short the tangible benefits of using a 1:1 coach include:
short and long term goal setting
learning sustainable habit change
creating an overall healthier lifestyle
stress reduction techniques and management
learning healthy boundaries for yourself and then being able to better model it to your family and your team
using empathy to become a better leader
understanding the connection to being well to become a better leader.
accountability.
I am finding more and more functional and integrative medical specialists are recommending patients find a health coach as are executive leadership teams which has been an interesting trend for my business. There are also lots of digital wellness coaching start ups popping up like Better Up, Found, and Parsley Health where coaches are used,
And the NY Times recently wrote this article, "We Could All Use a Health Coach," which also summarizes the benefits as does Forbes in "6 Ways An Executive Coach Can Help you Be Successful."

Q. What does your Fair Play Life Facilitator Certification give me? A. Based on the NY Times Best Selling Book Fair Play by Eve Rodsky, Fair Play Life is an organizational system that can be implemented into your household to help ease the burden of balancing the workload at home. Current research shows that when women aren't weighted down by the invisible labor in the household, they are more likely to stay in the workforce. Creating equity in the household when there are two working parents can also alleviate stress, overwhelm, and burnout for all parties. As a Certified Fair Play Life Trainer, I can help individuals, partners, couples, or organizations implement this system. This article is a great teaser and account of a real life couple who worked to implement the Fair Play System in their house and how it helped them.
Q. What other certifications do you have? A. On top of having an undergraduate degree from Virginia Tech, and an MBA from St Mary's College of CA, I also am a NASM certified personal trainer and IAWP certified holistic health and wellness coach. I've also been trained in Transcendental Meditation practices and am a Core Power yoga enthusiast!
